Project Description

Trilab’s Brisbane laboratory is currently involved in carrying out all of the geotechnical laboratory testing for the Carmichael Mine Rail Project.

This project involves the strength and classification testing of samples from hundreds of test pits and bore holes along the ~400km rail corridor.

Samples are dispatched from the North Queensland site to Trilab’s Brisbane laboratory on a daily basis in order to keep in line with an estimated completion date of early 2018.

Trilab’s large sample storage facility adjacent to its laboratory has enabled the efficient processing of the large volume of samples arriving from site on a daily basis.

A dedicated sample tracking and reporting system was developed specifically for this project to ensure samples flow smoothly throughout the various stages of testing within the laboratory.

Trilab offers this service to its clients for large scale projects in both its Perth and Brisbane laboratories.
